UV Coloring Systems

Fine International offers UV coloring systems suitable for high speed coloring for optical fiber.  Our model FC-1500 can be used for precision rewind applications up to 1500 meter/mine or coloring applications at 1200 meter/min.

The system is completely self contained minimizing floor space while providing an ergonomic configuration for the operator.  The system contains traversing payoff and takeup, pressurized coloring ink coating assembly and dual high intensity UV curing ovens.  Tension is precisely controlled in the 0.4 - 1.5 Newton range.
 

The coating system uses dedicated coating material reservoirs and feed lines.  The pressurized coating material is forced into the coating applicator contacting the fiber through a series of precision entrance and exit dies.  The small applicator is simple to clean and minimizes material waste during color changeovers. The twin arc typc UV curing ovens use forced cooled, high intensity UV lamps.  The UV energy is focused uniformly around the fiber circumference using parabolic reflectors.  The fiber path medium is maintained under a nitrogen blanket and completely separated from the cooling gas chamber.   Operators control system function through simple, touch screen display interface.
